— AMORGOS
THE ISLAND OF DEEP BLUE SEA
“Built in the beautiful Chora of Amorgos, Emprostiada is located in a large garden, at the upper entrance of Chora, three kilometers from Agia Anna beach with the clear waters and the beautiful rocks”
Dressed in the traditional Cycladic color, Amorgos is the ideal island destination. The easternmost island of the Cyclades, offers generous beauty to the visitor. The particularly high altitude of the rocky island makes the view of the Aegean Sea disarming, while the beaches with their crystal clear waters and caves enchant the visitor. Walking on its countless picturesque paths, Amorgos takes us on a trip through time, through its dazzling beauty. People, “sculpted” by the wild landscape, the air and the salt, contribute with their hospitality to the Cycladic oasis.
CHORA OF AMORGOS
Chora of Amorgos is the capital of the island, located almost in its center. This position was purposefully chosen by the inhabitants of the past since its unique location hid it from the pirates. Katapola port is about 5 km away.
The architecture of Chora is something unique in the Cyclades. From the first moment you will be amazed by its nobility, rare architecture, and numerous churches. Paved streets, white houses full of flowerpots with basil and cloves, and yards with the sweet scent of honeysuckle and jasmine make up a fragrant atmosphere. Most shops of Chora are on the main old cobbled street. All taverns, ouzo bars, and gift shops are housed in traditional buildings and decorated with passion, adding another touch to the beauty of Chora.
